Sunday June 9, an accident occurred on the RN 4 near Heiltz-le-Hutier, in the direction Saint-Dizier – Vitry-le-François. The traffic jams caused by the latter led to the wandering of a horse, not without consequences.
While traveling on the RN 4, in the direction of Saint-Dizier – Vitry-le-François, many motorists found themselves stuck in traffic jams. The cause ? An accident involving a heavy goods vehicle and a car, which occurred near Heiltz-le-Hutier, around 2:15 p.m.
Two injured on the sidelines of the collision
No injuries were reported for the two drivers. However, the collision led to the truck capsizing and a traffic jam for a few kilometers. The domino effect operating, the first incident generated a second. “In this traffic jam, there was a van and in this van a horse. He got angry, escaped and injured two people,” explained the Marne Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis). While wandering, the animal was finally recovered by a neighboring equestrian center while waiting to be able to find its owners.
On the road side, to compensate for the traffic stoppage, a diversion has been put in place near Perthes. Around 4 p.m., while the car had been evacuated, the truck still had to be lifted.
