The dog escapes and raises the alarm
Brandon Garrett misses a turn and his vehicle tumbles. One of the dogs managed to escape and traveled nearly 6 kilometers to their campsite, alerting other family members that something was wrong.
The family then began looking for Brandon and eventually found the injured driver on the morning of June 3.
Found alive
The man is still alive and managed to escape from the car. He was found about a hundred meters from the vehicle, above the stream. The mobilized rescuers had to use chainsaws to clear a path to save him.
Brandon Garrett was then airlifted to a regional hospital. The nature of his injuries has not been released by authorities. The other three dogs were found alive at the scene of the accident.
