A serious accident involving two vans and a car left three people injured, including one seriously early this Sunday morning on the A9 between Lunel (Hérault) and Gallargues (Gard). Firefighters managed to revive one of the victims who was in cardiac arrest. Traffic, interrupted for a time in the south/north direction, has resumed on a single lane.

Firefighters from the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS 34) managed to bring back to life a motorist in cardiac arrest when they arrived at the scene of an accident involving two vans and a car on the A9 between Lunel (Hérault) and Gallargues (Gard). The events occurred shortly after 5 a.m. this Sunday and the highway had to be closed for almost two hours to allow emergency services to intervene.

The collision left two other injured, two men aged 23 and 51, evacuated in relative emergency to the Lapeyronie University Hospital in Montpellier, while the most seriously affected victim was transported to the Anesthesia Resuscitation Department (DAR) of the same university hospital center. .

Interrupted for a while during cleaning and repair operations, traffic resumed on a single lane, the left, in the south/north direction, that of the accident, around 7:10 a.m.

Caution remains essential in the sector, especially as Météo France has issued an orange alert bulletin for storms and rain and floods in the Gard for this Sunday, from 3 p.m.
