Several gunshots were drawn this Tuesday afternoon at Seloncourt (Doubs), around 3 p.m. The facts happened rue de Bernecentral axis of the town, between the pharmacy and the tobacconist, just in front of an insurance company. A 54-year-old man was fatally shot. A 50-year-old woman was slightly injured in a car accident which occurred immediately afterwards. The public prosecutor of Montbéliard Paul-Édouard Lallois opens an investigation for murderaccording to him “this is clearly an execution”.
The prosecutor of the Republic gave a press conference at the scene of the crime. “A man was seen in the middle of the road with a handgun in his hand”he declared. This man then walked towards a vehicle and “fired several times in the direction of the driver of this vehicle”.
Paul-Édouard Lallois adds that the driver of the car, victim shots, “managed to flee, ran several hundred meters and ended up on a sidewalk.” In doing so, he “partially hit a vehicle in its path, involuntarily”.
“Everyone is upset”
“I was warned by my service director that there had been a serious injury and an attacker who fled”relate the maire de Lorscourt, Daniel Buchwalder. “The victim tried to chase her attacker and hit another car. The police commissioner called me back a few minutes later to tell me that she had died”he confirms.

It’s a shock for the communeexplains the elected official: “I talk about it with residents, they don’t know what to do anymore. We never have a tragedy of this type, everyone is upset. It shouldn’t be something that will spread, like everywhere in France.”
“I hope that the victim will be quickly identified, for that we have cameras of surveillance which will help the investigators and find out if it is a question of a settling of scores, of personal quarrels”specifies Daniel Buchwalder.
