After more than two months of investigations, the police arrested six people potentially in connection with the fire at the new Pissevin police station. For the record, the building caught fire following multiple explosions that affected neighboring businesses.
The new Pissevin police station never saw the light of day. Indeed, a fire causing extensive damage nearby forced the authorities to abandon its opening due to its condition.
Recently, the investigation took a new turn. This Tuesday, November 5, the public prosecutor in Nîmes announced the arrest of six people suspected of having collaborated in carrying out this act.
In total, three adults aged 20 to 28, as well as three minors aged 15, 16 and 17 respectively, were placed in police custody.
Originally from Nîmes, these individuals are already known to the police for their links with drug trafficking.
The investigation should now make it possible to establish the role of each person in this affair.
