A sensitive subject. This Monday, November 4, Prisca Thevenot and Louis Boyard were both invited to the franceinfo antenna, to debate on different current topics. Among them, the management of drug trafficking. After questioning the deployment of the army in sensitive neighborhoods, as suggested by Macronist MP Karl Olive, the former president of the National High School Union hit the nail on the head: “We must nevertheless note a bankruptcy on the part of the French State on the policy which has been carried out over the last thirty or forty years“, he lashed out, before continuing: “It is only in that we are completely repressive and yet, France is the leading country consuming cannabis. So we see today that the policy of repression does not work and forces us into a cycle of violence which is absolutely unbearable.“, observed the one who is in favor of the legalization of cannabis.

Words which inspired a direct question from her interlocutor Prisca Thevenot: “When you talk about legalizing cannabis, is it the MP who is talking to me or is it the former drug dealer you claim to be?“, she asked. An outing which did not fail to annoy the young MP: “When you say that you are not in favor of decriminalizing cannabis, is it the political class that is dependent on the cycle of violence to get re-elected?“, he added, before being interrupted by the franceinfo journalist, who asked him to conclude. “There are more and more young people today who are falling into this cycle of violence.“, lamented Louis Boyard. “You saw these young people, you served them, why didn't you take on these responsibilities? When we deal, when we consume, we have a responsibility on this subject. We all have a responsibility, in the National Assembly but also as citizens committed to our country, to our young people and to future generations.“, for her part estimated Prisca Thevenot. Prisca Thevenot: her tender words for her two children during the transfer of power

Two days after the announcement of Michel Barnier's new government, the transfer of power took place this Monday, September 23. Spokesperson for the executive for eight months, Prisca Thevenot gave way to Maud Bregeon, the voice of the presidential party since 2020. During her farewell speech at the Hôtel Rothelin-Charolais, the recently re-elected MP in Hauts-de-Seine had a thought for his children, after having spoken with emotion of his dual nationality. “I am proof that you can be binational and deeply patriotic French. Because yes, this sense of homeland, this love of France, I received it as an inheritance, she first recalled, before continuing on a tender note: “And I commit, in turn, in each of my actions, to transmit it to my children, Paul and Basile, whom I believe you all know widely and whom I embrace very strongly because they are at this moment in the school canteen (laughs).”
