Everything is going very quickly for this young woman of 25, elected Miss Aquitaine only three weeks ago, on October 6, at Futuroscope. The final of the national competition will be held in this same amusement park on December 14, 2024.
Even though she lived in Senegal, Morocco and Portugal, it is the region of her childhood, the Arcachon Basin, which honors her and propels her to the top of the poster. In March 2024, as she finished her dental studies in the city of Porto, she attempted the Miss Biganos-Porte du Bassin competition and won the sash.
“Not a child's dream, a young woman's dream”
“I’ve been thinking about embarking on this adventure for three years. Coming to the end of my studies, I felt that it was the right time to experience something different,” explains the young graduate on her Instagram account. Moreover, she affirms: “becoming Miss was not a childhood dream. Until now, I was content to watch Miss France comfortably seated on my sofa, a bowl of popcorn in hand. Not a childhood dream, but it has become a dream of a young woman who wants to surpass herself,” she writes in a FAQ organized for her subscribers.
A model “in her spare time”, she hopes that this beauty contest can allow her to emerge from the shadows, without relying too much on camera flashes. “If I have the chance to go far, I tell myself that it could give me a little voice. A little more visibility, to talk about subjects that really matter to me. »
Her qualification for the Miss France competition makes the mayor of Biganos, Bruno Lafon, proud: “After Malaurie Eugénie Miss Biganos, then Miss Aquitaine who finished 3rd runner-up in Miss France 2015… It is the turn of our Miss Biganos-Porte du Bassin 2024, Laura Marie Marque-Brugerolle, to be elected Miss Aquitaine at Futuroscope in Poitiers.
