A man had put two young women into his vehicle in Epinay-sur-Seine. The two escaped while the vehicle was rolling.

On October 27, the driver of a vehicle was suspected of having sexually assaulted a young woman shortly after putting her and a friend in his vehicle near Epinay-sur-Seine station. . The two young women did not know the driver according to the first elements of the investigation.

The man became threatening, they jumped from the vehicle which was still moving. One of the young women then fell heavily to the ground during her escape before being transported in serious condition to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital in . Before improving, his vital prognosis had been compromised.

But after nine days in a deep coma, the 18-year-old young woman, originally from (Seine-Saint-Denis), died, according to information from Le Parisien.

According to our colleagues, the young woman who died had a meeting with the driver she met on the Internet. The young woman had decided to go on her “date” with a 16-year-old friend. The latter had also jumped from the moving vehicle. She was only slightly injured.

Thanks to video surveillance cameras, the driver was arrested on the evening of the incident. He was released after his custody. Before investigators, he denied having sexually assaulted the victim. He says he fell into a romantic ambush set by the young people, the meeting having been fixed in a town of Source-Les-Presles in Epinay-sur-Seine. According to Le Parisien, he was hit by paving stones thrown at his vehicle when leaving the city.
