FF7 Rebirth exceeded all our expectations to the point where it obtained the maximum score of 10/10 with the “Gameblog Indispensable” badge. A gargantuan, generous and sublime suite which was able to transport us despite flaws such as heaviness or technical failures. Updates have already been released to improve several points, but the new update goes even further and will change everything for some within a few hours.
FF7 Rebirth update 1.050 is here
Square has warned FF7 Rebirth players of the deployment, before the end of the year, of a major new update. A patch capable of making the settings and characters of this epic sequel shine even more, but only for future owners of the PS5 Pro. Well after a few weeks of waiting, this highly anticipated update 1.050 is finally available. Of course, the console is only officially released this Thursday, November 7, 2024, but we might as well take the lead especially since the update fixes bugs at the same time.
What's new in update 1.050 FF7 Rebirth on PS5 Pro? As with many games like Marvel's Spider-Man 2, this patch brings together the best of both worlds with a “Versitality” mode exclusive to the PlayStation 5 Pro. Thanks to it, there is no longer any need to choose between “Loyalty” and “Performance” modes since they are now combined. Concretely, FF7 Rebirth will therefore run at 60fps with the same graphic quality as the “Fidelity” mode with the use of PSSR. The equivalent of Nvidia's famous DLSS which allows you to offer very detailed rendering at a lower resolution. Therefore, with the saving of resources, teams can push, for example, the framerate without compromising on the rest.
