VSn Thursday evening, a fire broke out at Allée verte, in a waste processing and recycling plant. Firefighters quickly arrived on site with several tanker trucks and were able to bring the fire under control in the evening. No injuries were reported.

Safe.brussels quickly recommended that neighbors keep their doors and windows closed, due to the significant smoke emissions, visible in several places in the capital.

The fire broke out in a pile of materials, including old washing machines and boilers, causing a large plume of smoke, visible from afar. However, according to firefighters, the smoke was not toxic.
