After the Pixel 9 launched at the end of August and the iPhone 16 in September, the start of 2025 should be played out in the mid-range market for Google and Apple. While the Apple company is refining its iPhone SE 4, the Mountain View company plans to come back in force with the Pixel 9a.
Its launch would not wait for Google I/O, generally taking place in May, given that rumors in the corridors are talking about an announcement in March. To wait until then, the rumors are piling up, thus painting a more than rosy portrait for the generation succeeding the Pixel 8a.
The latest news is that leakers at Android Headlines reported that the price of the Pixel 9a will be similar to the Pixel 8a, at $499 in the United States. We should therefore remain at €549 in France, in any case, in the best of all worlds.
Indeed, the Pixel 7a and Pixel 8a had the same in the United States, but not in France, where the 8a was sold €40 more expensive than its predecessor. If Google applies the same price increase strategy with its next model, €600 would be fast approaching.
