At 3:40 a.m., during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, an arson attack took place in Montpellier, at 16 avenue de Toulouse. According to information revealed by Midi Libre and confirmed to France 3 Occitanie from a source close to the investigation, two hooded men, one armed, entered the “Occ Méditérranée” grocery store. The people who were present inside the store were taken out by force. The manager, for his part, refused and tried to confront the robbers.
The store manager, aged 30, was transported to the Lapeyronie hospital center after suffering burns to his legs. His vital prognosis is not in danger thanks to the Hérault firefighters who quickly took care of him. Indeed, the grocery store was ravaged by flames after one of the two individuals doused the store with gasoline before setting it on fire.
