The 48-year-old man was found hanging under the Toul bridge. His partner, a 39-year-old woman, was discovered dead at the family home in Dommartin-lès-Toul, according to the Progress.
The woman was “obviously killed“, indicates Elsa Pincet, deputy public prosecutor.

Autopsies were ordered
The community of gendarmerie brigades of Toul is carrying out an investigation to “search for the causes of death” concerning the body of the husband. The local judicial police department of Toul is in charge of a blatant investigation into the charge of “murder of a spouse” for the death of the woman.
Autopsies have been ordered and will take place in the coming days, the magistrate said.
The couple’s child, aged 5, was entrusted to his grandparents.
