Mugello, MotoGP: Bagnaia as boss!

Francesco Bagnaia was simply the strongest at Mugello. The double MotoGP world champion won the Italian Grand Prix as a boss, for the third time in a row. The official Ducati team scores a double thanks to Enea Bastianini overtaking Jorge Martin in the last corner. No points for the French Fabio Quartararo and Johann Zarco.

Nothing and no one could overcome Francesco Bagnaia at Mugello. Not even the penalty of three places on the grid imposed by the Race Direction, for having been “slow in the path of another driver” (Alex Marquez) during Friday afternoon practice. Starting fifth, the n°1 only took two turns to find himself in the lead, making a great start before going inside at Jorge Martin. What followed: a recital of timed laps where he managed his advantage over the Spaniard. Never attacked, he won with an 8 tenths lead over… Enea Bastianini!

A fourth time, the teammate of Pecco achieved a thunderous end to the race, doubling Marc Marquez before going to look Martin in the last corner of the last lap. The official Ducati team signs its first double of the season, while the Martinator must settle for third place. Mark finished at the foot of the podium and 2 seconds behind the overall winner.

As during the sprint, Pedro Acosta serves as the first non-Ducati rider, placing his KTM fifth. Franco Morbidellisixth, is the last driver less than 10 seconds behind Bagnaia. Fabio di Giannantonio took good points by finishing seventh, ahead Maverick Vinales which raises the first Aprilia RS-GP to eighth place. Alex Marquez And Brad Binder complete the top 10.
