Naturaludik, the educational farm managed by the PEDA association, is organizing its first open day on Saturday June 8. The acronym takes up the initials of the association’s objectives: share, exchange, develop, support. The site is located on a former agricultural holding. “Thanks to its geographical location, Naturaludik offers its visitors a fun space for relaxation and total disconnection” indicates Audrey, social organizer who works within the association. Respect for the environment, animals and developing the well-being of people are the leitmotif of the speakers. The educational farm is equipped with a multitude of animals to the delight of children and visitors. Pigs, cows, horses, goats, sheep, chickens… are used to receiving the public. Partnerships are established with institutes welcoming children and adults with disabilities. Jessica, educational instructor, another worker at the site, is present to provide support. “Schools, leisure centers and individuals also come regularly for entertainment” explains Amalia, who is doing her 2nd year of Bac pro SAPAT (Personal Service and Territorial Animation) on a work-study basis at the farm. She is accompanied by Veliana, also a student at the Bel aspect rural family home in Gaillac. The association organizes several types of activities on the farm, either with animals or for nature-themed activities. “We even travel for birthday parties at home with a few animals.”
