A 47-year-old man was hit by one or more projectiles, at 28 rue du Moucherotte, in the commune of Saint-Egrève (Isère), this Sunday, October 20, shortly before midnight.
While he was on the terrace of his home, the man was reportedly hit by a shot in the back. “The number of impacts remains to be determined by the autopsy (one or two)“, indicates François Touret de Coucy, deputy public prosecutor of Grenoble, thus confirming initial information from our colleagues at Dauphiné Libéré.
When emergency services arrived, the victim was in cardio-respiratory arrest. The forty-year-old was declared dead by the SMUR doctor in Grenoble.
On site, the gendarmes of the Meylan company carried out the first observations. An investigation was opened to determine the circumstances of this shooting and identify the perpetrator(s) of this murder.
This new episode of gun violence comes after several other shootings in Grenoble and its surrounding area. And this, in a context of gang war based on drug trafficking.
But according to the deputy prosecutor: “No link has been made with a drug case at this time. The victim had no known involvement in this area.”
