Also available in a version approved for the road, the KTM Freeride E has completely revised its technical sheet for 2025.
In the Enduro electric motorcycle segment, KTM is a pioneer with its KTM Freeride E, launched in 2014. A successful model that brings the brand up to date for 2025. We take stock of the main changes!
An upgraded technical sheet!
On the technical side, KTM’s new electric motorcycle receives a motor developing up to 11 kW of nominal power and 19.2 kW peak. Announced as quieter and better cooled, it develops more than 37 Nm of torque and allows a top speed of 95 km/h. In use, three driving modes are offered (Eco, Normal and Sport). In addition, three modes allow you to modulate energy recovery and engine braking intensity (off, mid and high).
The other important change is at the battery level. Improved compared to previous versions, the lithium-ion pack accumulates 5.54 kWh of energy capacity. Autonomy is given for 2 to 3 hours in “enduro conditions”. Weighing 29 kilos, the battery is not light. It nevertheless remains removable to be easily exchanged, especially in the event of intensive use.
Still available in approved version
Like the previous version, the Freeride E will be available in a “road approved” version, its power level positioning it in the 125 electric motorcycle segment. Like the previous version, this one should take the name KTM Freeride E-XC, the E-SX version being reserved for leisure.
A new chassis and contained weight
Completely redesigned, the chassis of the KTM Freeride E 2025 is based on a lightweight structure which allowed the manufacturer to contain the total weight of its electric motorcycle to 111 kg. A key criterion to guarantee both maneuverability and stability, particularly in sporting use.
The WP suspension system has also been updated with a 250mm WP XACT fork at the front and a 240mm WP XPLOR PDS shock at the rear.
