We asked residents of Cher why and how they consumed Doliprane, or another form of paracetamol.

All the people interviewed, without exception, have paracetamol at home. Christelle, 43, a trader, has several brands in her pharmacy at home. “I even have a tube in my bag,” she quips. She renews her stock once she no longer has any, or if it has expired. “I take it very rarely, only for headaches or fever,” she confides.

premium Doliprane in the American purse: the fever rises in

In the antipodes, Louis, a 19-year-old student, takes it “a little too often,” he admits with a laugh. Against aches after sport, as soon as he gets a little cold and even during each partial session. Despite the risk of overdose, Doliprane is, in a way, the solution to all health problems.

“It’s a bit of an all-purpose medicine,” laments Chantal, retired. She only has this medication at her disposal because of the anticoagulant she is taking at the same time.

The liquid version of Doliprane is very popular with parents, like Arthur, 30, a young father of two children: “We have to replenish the stock once a month, especially in winter, with colds and the flu. My oldest took it before going to school because of her growing teeth. It saves us from going to the doctor for each of their ailments,” he adds.

The sale of Doliprane to the Americans by Sanofi worries them nothing more. The concerns mainly come from a fear of shortage, at a time when we all need it, as during the recent Covid-19 health crisis.
