On August 18, 2024, Alain Delon died at the age of 88 at his property in Douchy (Loiret). The actor was surrounded by his loved ones and in particular his three children: Anthony, Anouchka and Alain-Fabien. Despite their disagreements in recent months, the siblings remained united through this painful ordeal. A few days after his disappearance, the star of The swimming pool was buried within the grounds of his property, in a chapel he had previously built. Since then, Alain Delon’s children have tried to get back on track with their lives. Furthermore, they continue to honor the memory of their father, who did not want a national tribute. On November 8, a symphonic film concert entitled Delon the last samurai will take place at the Palais des Congrès in Paris. On this occasion, the youngest of the family was passing through the set of C to you and opened up about their relationship.
Alain-Fabien Delon did not want to become an actor: “I think I broke her heart“
On France 5, Alain-Fabien Delon spoke about his career as an actor. In fact, since he was very young, his father wanted him to become an actor. A project that the 30-year-old young man did not have in mind at all. Alain Delon therefore did not hesitate to urge his son to follow in his footsteps. The latter specifies that this desire of his father was more felt when he was young: “More before I turned eighteen“. When Alain-Fabien Delon revealed to his father that being in front of the camera was not his dream, he was greatly disappointed. “I think I broke his heart by telling him I really didn’t want to do that.“he confides. Over the years, Alain-Fabien Delon ended up changing his mind. We saw it in A golden youth in 2018 and A world elsewhere in 2020.
