Following the death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinouar, American, French, German and British leaders have called for “end to the war in Gaza”, this Friday, October 18 during their meeting in Berlin (Germany), reported AFP.

A press release published by the German government after this interview underlines that Joe Biden, Emmanuel Macron, Olaf Scholz and Keir Starmer discussed the ‘implications’ of the Hamas leader’s deathwith the immediate need to return the (Israeli) hostages to their familiesof stop the gas wara and ensure that humanitarian aid reaches civilians.

Hamas leader killed in IDF operation

In a video message published this Friday, Hamas confirms the death of Yahya Sinouar. The leader of the terrorist group was announced dead on Thursday by Israel. His “elimination” took place during an ordinary IDF operation on Wednesday October 16in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip.

Despite the death of their leader, Hamas affirmed that this event will “strengthen” its movement and that the fight will continue “until the liberation of Palestine”. In this message, it is also specified that the Israeli hostages will not return until “stopping the aggression against Gaza”.

Obtaining “a just and lasting peace” in Ukraine

Joe Biden, Emmanuel Macron, Olaf Scholz and Keir Starmer also affirmed their “determination” to support Ukraine in its war against the Russian aggressor so that it obtains “just and lasting peace”in a joint statement released after a meeting in Berlin.

American, French, German and British leaders commit to “continue to support Ukraine in its efforts to ensure a just and lasting peace, based on international law, including the United Nations Charter, as well as respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity”they indicated after their meeting in Berlin held on the occasion of a whirlwind visit by American President Joe Biden.
