Burning trash containers destroy the gate of a college in

Between October 4 and 9, 2024, a series of garbage container fires in () led to the destruction of the gate of the Pierre-Gilles-de-Gennes college. Damage, €36,000 which the alleged perpetrators will have to pay.

They are between 19 and 21 years old. Unknown to the police. However, between October 4 and 9, 2024, three young men admitted, while in police custody, to being the authors of a series of garbage container fires, in the Morocco district south of Le Mans (Sarthe) . Police custody during which a minor was exonerated.

Significant harm

The damage from these fires is significant, since around a dozen containers went up in smoke. The bill for Le Mans Métropole amounts to €16,000.
