Our thoughts are obviously with Paul’s family and loved ones. No words can ease their pain and deep sorrow wrote the members of the association in a press release. We understand them all the better because this tragedy unfortunately does not surprise those who travel by bike, including in the metropolitan area, and are confronted at any time with incivility and endangerment. far too often voluntary, and can therefore go as far as murder.

An open letter

Members of the association call on the authorities to address the issue of cyclist safety. Authorities, at all levels, must finally take the safety of those who ride bicycles seriously. In the face of road violence there can be no indulgence, no laxity, no excuses.

During this gathering, Cyclamaine will submit an open letter to the mayor of Le Mans.

For those who cannot travel, the association encourages them to meet in front of the town halls of each municipality.
