This week was half-baked in terms of weather. Between clear spells and heavy rain, we definitely didn’t know which sky to expect. Will the upcoming weekend be clearer? Here are the weather forecasts for the departments of Ain and the two Savoies, from Friday October 18 to Sunday October 20, 2024.
Ain
The weather will be unstable in the department for the entire day of Friday October 18, with locally heavy precipitation. It will be up to 18 degrees for Bourg-en-Bresse and Coligny. Saturday October 19 will be marked by the return of dry and sunny weather, after the morning mists have dissipated. It will be 15 degrees in Gex and Nantua, 17 degrees in Belley and Bourg-en-Bresse. Sunday October 20, the weather will also be good, although with the passage of cloud bands during the day. It will be 15 degrees in Gex, 16 in Collonges and Nantua, up to 17 degrees in Bourg-en-Bresse.
Savoy
Tomorrow, Friday October 18, the weather will be choppy for a good part of the day in Savoie, with the gradual return of clearing in the second part of the day, mainly on the hills. It will be 16 degrees in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, 17 degrees in Albertville and Chambéry. The sun will be more generous this Saturday, October 19, with temperatures which will be between nine degrees, this will be for Val d’Isère, and 17 degrees for Chambéry. Sunday October 20, the fog may be persistent in the west of the department in the morning, be careful on the roads. The rest of the day will take place under the sun. In terms of temperatures, it will be 14 degrees in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, 16 degrees in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne and up to 17 degrees near Chambéry.
Haute-Savoie
The day of Friday October 18 will be disrupted in Haute-Savoie, with the passage of an active disturbance from west to east. It will be 12 degrees in Megève, 13 degrees in Morzine and up to 17 degrees for Annemasse and Annecy. The sky will be clearer on Saturday October 19, with the return of dry and milder weather. Temperatures will be between 13 degrees for Chamonix-Mont-Blanc and Morzine, and up to 17 degrees for Annemasse. On Sunday October 20, watch out for fog in the morning, which will reduce visibility on the roads. Caution will be required. After the fog lifts, the weather will be sunny despite the passage of small cloud bands. Allow 15 degrees in Thonon-les-Bains and Annecy, 16 degrees near Annemasse.
