SPAL investigates suspicious house fire in Brossard

Emergency services were alerted around 2 a.m. Thursday as witnesses reported apparent flames and the sound of an explosion.

The two-story home was hit by fire and SPAL reports that the flames spread to the neighboring address.

SPAL teams evacuated part of the area surrounding the fire.

The affected families were taken care of by paramedics and Red Cross volunteers.

No one was hurt.

“The fire is suspicious in nature, but no individuals have been apprehended at this time. The investigation is ongoing,” specifies the Longueuil Police Department.
