Lonzo Ball played basketball again. As announced a few days earlier, the Bulls leader took the floor after two blank seasons and a knee cartilage transplant, during the pre-season match won by Chicago (125-123) against Minnesota. Ball scored 3 points on his first attempt in the corner and, despite the logical rust, contributed 10 points in 15 minutes coming off the bench while looking like he had legs.

Julius Randle made his debut with the Wolves in this match and finished with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Rudy Gobert compiled 13 points and 17 rebounds, whileAnthony Edwards had difficulty adjusting the sights (6/23).

Rayan Rupert was a starter with Portland for the opposition with the Germans from Ulm (111-100). The French sophomore had 11 points, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 block in 36 minutes. Scoot Henderson (23 pts, 6 asts at 10/14) showing good form, as he has since the start of the pre-season. On the Ulm side, the young 17-year-old Frenchman Noah Essengue was the best player on his team: 20 pts, 8 rebounds, 3 asts and 2 stls.

– The Cavs have still not won in pre-season (0/3) and lost last night to the Pistons, although Kenny Atkinson started with the typical team. Detroit rotated a lot with… 18 players used in total by JB Bickerstaff, who was coaching for the first time against his former team. Simone Fontecchio (18 pts) is the best scorer of the evening for Detroit.

– No Joel Embiid, nor Paul George (touched in the knee) for Philadelphia against Brooklyn, but a victory nonetheless (117-95), thanks in particular to the 18 points of Kelly Oubre and the 9 points, 6 rebounds and 3 interceptions of Gerschon Yabusele. Nick Nurse also opened his bench with no less than 13 “subs” used. Neither Ben Simmons nor Killian Hayes, still injured in the hip, participated in this meeting.

– Zacharie Risacher was rested last night during the Hawks’ defeat in Miami (120-111). The Frenchman saw his comrades bow to Jimmy Butler (24 pts, 5 rebounds) and his squad, in which Tyler Herro (19 pts) and Haywood Highsmith (16 pts), aka “Machin” Highsmith for Antoine Pimmel, stood out.
