We have the impression that our club is slowly dying, and with this match, we perhaps see the embers which one day will cause the club to start again. 33,000 people came to see fifty-year-olds play – certainly Zizou was present – but this proves that Bordeaux is a land of football. We have rugby which supports us and has even taken over but the people of Bordeaux are attached to their football club and I hope that we will relive moments like this because this club deserves to be at the top of the bill . There are supporters who come to every match, who make sacrifices, these people deserve it. When I see the stadium full, I tell myself that perhaps all is not lost. […] We had great presidents like Bez, Triaud, they were the ones who brought this club together. There is a magnificent stadium, an impressive audience, loyal despite being in Ligue 2. I had the chance to play with world stars to whom the name FCGB spoke even abroad. We are the last ones who can still pass on the experience of this club. We are not in charge. I hope that one day the tide will turn and that people who have a bit of heart will be able to take over the club.
