Since Saturday morning, Taylor Swift fans, the “Swifties”, have already been waiting in large numbers in front of Groupama Stadium, particularly to buy all kinds of derivative products bearing the image of the American star. She gives two mega-concerts on Sunday June 2 and Monday June 3 in the evening.

And if preparations are still underway in the stadium used to giant concerts, a threat hovers in the sky above the metropolis of Lyon. The weather could spoil the party a little when arriving at the time of the Taylor Swift concert.

Rain forecast in Décines-Charpieu

Fans must in any case bring umbrellas (certain models are prohibited in the stadium) and clothing suitable for the rain. Meteo France forecasts very uncertain weather above the Groupama Stadium in Décines-Charpieu.

Sunday afternoon, rain is forecast and in the evening for the concert, the trend could continue after 8 p.m. The American star is expected on stage around 9 p.m. after a first part provided by the group Paramore, which is scheduled for 6:45 p.m.

The artist knows how to deal with the rain

The rain in Lyon should not, however, prevent the artist from singing and putting on a show. Taylor Swift once sang in the pouring rain. In May 2023, she performed in Nashville in the United States for 3.5 hours under a deluge of water. Last year, she also performed in the pouring rain at the stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. A fan had the idea of selling the raindrops collected during the show…

The show could in any case have a completely different face in the rain of Lyon. Response on Sunday evening when more than 60,000 spectators are expected.
