Agatha All Along counts among its cast of characters a mysterious teenager played by Joe Locke. Since the start of the series, many theories have been rife regarding his true identity. But the end of episode 5 finally gives us a big clue about its origins. Beware of spoilers!
Launched at the end of September 2024, Agatha All Along marks the big return of Kathryn Hahn as the witch Agatha Harkness. The actress shone in the role during her first appearance in the series WandaVision.
To better understand the plot of Agatha All Along, it is strongly recommended to have seen the Marvel series centered on Wanda Maximoff. Indeed, the new show available on Disney+ allows us to learn more about the fate of the character after his defeat against the one who will become the Scarlet Witch.
As a reminder, Wanda chose to punish the witch of Salem by erasing all of his memories. Agatha therefore disappears and becomes Agnes, a simple police officer from the small American town of Westview. Deprived of her powers, she only recovers her memory thanks to the intervention of a mysterious teenager. With the help of six other witches, they all set off together on a perilous expedition along the deadly Witches’ Road. If they manage to survive all the ordeals, Agatha will have a chance to regain her powers.

Teen, an enigmatic character
Since the beginning of the series, fans have multiplied discussions around the true identity of this teenager, who responds to the simple name of Teen (abbreviation of the word Teenager in English). It must be said that his real name remains one of the biggest secrets of the program.
Finally, we had to wait the end of episode 5 broadcast this Wednesday, October 9, 2024 to finally have an important clue about its origins. A clue which precisely confirms the theory most popular with fans. For good reason, comic book connoisseurs quickly opted for the following hypothesis: Teen could well be Wiccan, aka Billy Kaplan, one of Wanda’s sons.
We finally know Teen’s real name
Obviously, this track was the right one! For the record, during episode 5, the gang is projected into a sort of 90s teen movie. To pass the test dedicated to Agatha, they will have to have fun with demonic forces by playing with a board. Ouija. In the process, they unwittingly summon Agatha’s motherwho hastens to sentence his daughter to death for all the horrors she has committed.
Alice then intervenes with her magic to save Agatha… But Harkness remains faithful to her reputation as a perfidious witch and decides to absorb Alice’s power before killing her. All in front of Teen’s terrified eyes. He then lets his anger explode, releasing his true powers in the process. As cold as ice, Agatha then lets out the following reply: “You are indeed your mother’s son.”
This remark sends Teen into a destructive fury. He then attacks Agatha by controlling the minds of Jennifer and Lilia. In the last shot of the episode, we then see him displaying on his forehead a crown identical to that of her mother when she becomes the Scarlet Witch.
If we now have a more precise idea of Teen’s identity, many questions still remain unanswered: what really are his origins, knowing that he should no longer exist after Wanda lifted the illusion that weighed on Westview? What are his motivations? Is he trying to bring his mother back from the dead? Why does he need Agatha? What is the extent of his powers? We may have the answer in the last four episodes coming to Disney+.
