Fire quickly brought under control at the Yoplait factory in

The firefighters intervened at the Yoplait site in (), this Friday, October 11, 2024. They were called around 6:30 p.m. for a fire. It was quickly brought under control and no one was injured.

Around 6:30 p.m., this Friday, October 11, 2024, the Sarthe firefighters were called to a fire on the Yoplait site in Le Mans.

Starting from a large compressor

According to firefighters, the fire started from a large industrial compressor in a building of around 300 m² which treats wastewater from the factory, outside the food production area. It was quickly extinguished using a fire extinguisher on site.

25 firefighters and several vehicles, including a mobile command post, were still engaged as a precaution. “The factory is part of a listed establishment which requires a special procedure”explains Captain Rousseau. Emergency services began to evacuate the scene around 7:30 p.m., once all risks had been eliminated. No one was injured and production was not affected.
