The facts took place during the night of Friday October 11 to Saturday October 12 in the Ferraudière area sector. After hitting several parked cars, the driver fled on foot before being picked up by a police patrol.
As is regularly the case every weekend, after a meeting on social networks, many of them gathered to indulge in bursts of speed on the outskirts of Carcassonne. After being pushed back from the Bouriette zone, where several police operations have already taken place, it is now in the Ferraudière zone sector that fans of “run automobile” meet again. During the night of this Friday 11 to this Saturday 12 October, this was again the case with no major incident recorded, except this motorist who wanted to take on one last challenge… Before losing control of his car and to hit several others while parked while rolling over. It’s happening on Avenue Paul-Henri Mouton, not far from DR Kfé 2.0, in the Ferraudière area. No injuries, fortunately!

This Saturday, October 11, it was at 1:20 a.m. that the firefighters were alerted following this accident which turned out to be only material. When help arrived, there was no one in the damaged car. And for good reason, the driver had fled on foot, leaving the car there. It was only a little later that the suspect was finally arrested by a police crew. The man is drunk and was driving despite having his license revoked. Transported to the police station, this 27-year-old from Carcasson was placed in deferred custody so that he could be heard after sobering up. He is being prosecuted for “driving under the influence of alcohol”, “driving despite license cancellation”, “urban rodeo offense” et “hit and run after an accident”. Understood, he was then released with a summons to be tried according to the appearance procedure on prior admission of guilt (CRPC), during the month of February 2025.
