The Belgian Football Federation has renovated 40 football fields in Belgium. Thibaut Courtois was present in Bilzen for the inauguration of a Belgian Red Court. He was accompanied by former Red Flame Julie Biesmans.
“When the football federation asked me to become an ambassador, I immediately thought it was a good idea,” Courtois began in The Latest News.
“In the past, we also played on this field, after school or during holidays. It is important that young children can continue to enjoy it. A lot of foundations are laid here in terms of respect, to be honest the towards each other and of course, also to discover talents.”
He was also asked about the Red Devils. Due to problems with the coach Domenico Tedescohe closed the door to the national selection.
“Of course I miss it, I always loved playing for Belgium. But at the moment it’s a closed chapter. We’ll see in the future. I of course still hope for a nice goodbye, but we will see if and when this will be possible,” he concludes.
