Judge the suspect in France
On September 21, the body of Philippine, 19, was found half-buried in the Bois de Boulogne (16th), a stone’s throw from Paris-Dauphine University where she was studying. The suspect, Taha O., was arrested three days later in Switzerland. Placed under OQTF after being convicted of rape, this 22-year-old Moroccan national was the subject of an arrest warrant for intentional homicide and rape of Philippine. After his arrest, he was placed in pre-trial detention.
He is now detained in Switzerland. So there is a guarantee in terms of its detention.
As a reminder, the French judicial authorities havea period of 18 days from the arrest of the suspect to request extradition. “The request was made yesterday [mercredi 9 octobre 2024, ndlr] and France will, of course, insist that this person is judged in France», underlined Didier Migaud.
