During the meeting, the representative of PV GAS presented the gas infrastructure system and the potential of the rapidly developing gas market in Vietnam. In which PV GAS has played and will play a key role.

Vietnam is currently experiencing rapid economic growth, leading to high demand for energy. Energy from LNG is seen as a key supply source in the future, helping to ensure energy security and minimize environmental impact compared to traditional fossil fuel sources. Therefore, developing LNG projects, as well as cooperating with major suppliers to import LNG, is the priority strategy of PV GAS.

The Cheniere Energy representative presented its supply capacity. Cheniere is the 2nd largest LNG producer in the world and the 4th largest supplier in the world. With a large-scale port system and liquefaction facility at the Sabin Pas and Corpus Christi projects, Cheniere is capable of meeting Vietnam’s needs.

Cheniere Energy executives greatly appreciate the potential of the Vietnamese market and are keen to establish long-term relationships with PV GAS to ensure supply and price stability in Vietnam in a profoundly changing energy world.

The meeting between PV GAS and Cheniere Energy in the United States is expected to open up many opportunities for cooperation in the field of LNG, contributing to the sustainable development of the energy industry in Vietnam.

PV GAS’s search for LNG supply partners in the United States, such as Cheniere, is not only a strategic step to ensure national energy security, but also helps promote the development of Vietnam’s LNG market, while contributing to the country’s green and sustainable development objectives.

Leaders of both sides agreed to continue negotiations and exchanges to reach formal cooperation agreements, promising to bring great benefits to both sides as well as the Vietnamese energy market.
