We have known since his first feature film that François Ozon likes things that are dysfunctional. Intimate thriller tinged with dark humor, When autumn comes is supported by two wonderful actresses: Hélène Vincent and Josiane Balasko. The rhythm is gentle and calm but behind the banality of the situations, the mystery thickens. It is finely written, directed, and acted. All nuance and complexity. (FB)
