Before Melania Trump’s memoir appeared, they contacted her publisher to schedule an interview. “After several exchanges”journalists received “an unusual request”. And completely above ground. In an email sent to the channel, Skyhorse Publishing sent a document titled “Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement”. This defined the “strict conditions of an interview” and the use of Melania Trump’s book. In addition to this, the agreement stipulated that “CNN will pay a license fee of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000)”.
