FC Sens produced a solid performance by beating leader La Chapelle Guinchay, 1-2, during this 5th day of the championship. Timothé Bouam scored the first goal in the first half after a great collective action. Sens was able to control the match, resisting opposing attempts and entering the break with the advantage.
In the second half, La Chapelle Guinchay equalized quickly, putting the Senonese defense under pressure. However, the Sens team was quick to react, thanks to a decisive strike from Cihan Genc which gave the visitors the advantage (1-2). The rest of the match saw a fierce battle, with La Chapelle Guinchay trying to come back, but the well-organized Sénonais held out until the final whistle.
This victory allows FC Sens to climb to 3rd place in the regional ranking, now accumulating 9 points, tied with La Chapelle Guinchay, which slips to 4th place after this defeat.
