On the occasion of the release of his latest album dedicated to the 1970s, Dany Brillant was the guest of Telematinthis Sunday, October 6, 2024. The 58-year-old singer spoke in particular about two of his idols: the American actor and singer Dean Martin and the Italian actor Lino Ventura. When Damien Thévenot asked him what these two movie stars mean to him, he responded bluntly: “Ah well, these are two sacred figures that I grew up with. I built myself with them.” They had such an impact in his life, that it is also “names of my children”, he said with a big smile. With his wife Nathalie Moury, Dany Brillant had two sons: Lino in 2010 and Dean in 2012.
Suzette’s interpreter simply assured: “I’m a fan.” He drew a lot of his inspiration from these two cinema monsters. On the one hand, he explained: “Dean Martin, I think I borrowed a lot of stuff from him. When I was young, I tried to borrow his relaxation, his style, his hairstyle…”And on the other, “Lino Ventura was a bit like my surrogate father. On screen, because he embodied masculine strength, we took strength from him”, she admitted. Damien Thévenot pointed out his resemblance to the Italian actor and claimed that he could have been his son. Dany Brillant thus confided: “Her daughter Clélia and her mother Odette told me this in a show.”

Dany Brillant is the father of three children, for him his family represents “its base, its breath. The foundation of his life”he confided to Gala. In addition to his little boys that he had with his wife Nathalie Moury, the singer had a daughter, Léah, born in 1993 from a first marriage. In January 2021, the artist revealed on the set of Looking forward to Sunday that none of his children wanted to follow his career in singing. “My daughter Léah doesn’t want to be a singer. My son Lino took up the saxophone. I advise them not to follow this path anyway, because it is a difficult job, which requires real passion.”, he explained.
