Élisabeth Ducos, it was first of all a smile. Radiant. With a whole pretty face organized around it. The physique of a star of Italian neorealist cinema and the ease that goes with it. She liked to recall her Milanese origins.

And then an incredible “fishing”. Up for everything, all the time, by feeling, by desire. Incredible trips, rock’n’roll situations and above all, don’t worry, ever.

Secretary at 16, married quickly. She experienced 1981 as a great hope. Born in (VIe ), she arrived from Auvergne to Vesoul with her husband and two daughters in 1979. She was secretary at the Bourdault institution and was already involved in a multitude of associations such as Vesoul Accueil or the Friends of cinema where she became president. She was a marriage counselor then a family mediator.

“Let’s talk about love”

Became cultural mission manager at the regional council, was also vice-president of the feature film support commission. She fought hard to make the film Native is filmed in Franche-Comté.

She became artistic advisor at the Majestic Vesoul cinema where she continued to fight for the promotion of arthouse films. She has increased the number of events and meetings. And then realizing that there was no LGBT film festival in the region, she launched “Parlons d’Amour” in 2022.

On the political side, she engaged in several battles at the PS or with En Marche. She co-founded the local Zero Waste association and was an administrator of the migration and integration support association.

Élisabeth Ducos had been ill for several years, but did not make it a subject. Until his last moments, the common thread of his life was to invest in everything that was likely to create a bond, to allow people to talk to each other, to be together. This is also how she conceived of cinema, her great passion. An opportunity to debate, to exchange, to recognize each other. “A person of public utility,” sums up his daughter. “The public interest is basically what defines her and what she cared about. The death of Élisabeth Ducos leaves many people sad in Vesoul and well beyond. His funeral will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the Sacré-Cœur church in Vesoul.
