The best basketball players from the Indian Ocean region will meet this Saturday, May 4 for high-level finals, matches to be followed live on the Réunion La 1ère website and Facebook page. These matches take place at the Nelson Mandela gymnasium in Saint-Pierre.

The finals of the Indian Ocean zone are the obligatory step before the finals of the French Basketball Championship planned in France in Eaubonne on May 18 and 19. Réunion La 1ère invites you to follow live the two Réunion-Mayotte matches which promise to be as tense as ever between teams who are not giving up.
Winners of the Saint-Pauloises, the Tamponnaises face this Saturday, May 4 in the final of the Indian Ocean zone the girls of the Magic Basket of Passamainty. It’s the same poster as during the zone final in the Coupe de France. Last December, Yannick Doro’s girls won 81-65 on the pitch at the Daniel Narcisse gymnasium in La Possession. Winners of Le Tampon in the final of the Reunion championship, the Dionysians will compete this Saturday, May 4, in the Indian Ocean zone final. They will meet the Mahorais of BC M’Tsapere at 8:30 p.m., on the floor of the Nelson Mandela gymnasium in Saint-Pierre. A match commented by Johnny Lerivain and our consultant Romuald Tami-Tabeth (coach of the La Tamponnaise boys and the La Réunion women’s selection at the last Indian Ocean Islands Games).
The Dionysians find their BCM rivals who had already beaten them in December 2022 in the Pamandzi gymnasium 55-49. The BCD players are expecting a new physical fight against a Mahorese team who are not giving up.
