A Mayan day on May 11 in Beloeil

A Mayan day, dedicated to bees and biodiversity, is the program for Saturday May 11, in Beloeil, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Espace Odéon in Stambruges.

This meeting is orchestrated by true enthusiasts, united in the collective “Les Amis des Abeilles”.

On the program for this day: beekeeping market, educational apiaries, kite creation and Mayan crochet.

Pollinators will be examined closely thanks to the Plains de l’Escaut Natural Park.

Visitors will also be able to learn about the usefulness of insects, learn everything about eco-gardens, zero waste by IPALLE at 2 p.m. or even the crazy flowers that wander around. Tales under the tree are also planned, as well as a walk in the land of donkeys, a pétanque tournament, a circus stroll or even a visit to the Noël Carlier museum. Several conferences will also allow you to address themes such as the Asian hornet or enjoy an afternoon of storytelling under the palaver tree.
