The thirteenth edition of the day organized by the “Rugby au coeur” association will take place in Sévignacq on Saturday June 1st. Like every year, its objective is to raise funds to help associations working in the field of disability.

The day will start with a sporting part. Mountain bikers will set off for the first time (free departure from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.) for a 25 km ride, with an elevation gain of approximately 250 meters. Walking, run and bike and leisure running will then be offered over a distance of 10 km: walk at 10 a.m., run and bike at 10:15 a.m. and race at 10:30 a.m. A race for children will also be launched at the stadium at 11:15 a.m. These tests, open to all, are accessible without a medical certificate.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the walk, run and bike and race. Rewards will also be awarded by drawing to participants in the mountain bike ride.

At the end of the awards ceremony, a meal will be served in the multi-activity room, with the participation of the Portuguese dance group “Alégria do Minho”.

The organizers now thank the volunteers, donors, and all those who participate in a good mood to show their solidarity with the people and structures that deal with disability in a sporting environment.

In 2023, the Ferrasse Foundation, which works in favor of seriously injured rugby players, received a check for 2,000 euros, as did the Colosse aux pieds d’église association (fight against pedophilia and harassment in sport). and Christo Rugby Adapté (structure for psychologically or mentally handicapped people). The goal is to do at least as well this year.

The price for each runner is set at 10 euros (children 1 euro) and the meal at 14 euros (children 8 euros). Registrations must be sent before May 29 either via the HelloAsso website (https://www.helloasso.com), or directly to the Rugby au coeur association (1150 chemin Bindé, 64160 Sévignacq), with the corresponding regulations. Information from Tiffanie Bailliez on 06 21 58 42 03.
