From Monday May 6, 2024, residents of the Normandy and Ile-de-France regions are invited to learn about the new Paris-Normandy line (LNPN) project through information meetings and workshops.
The project, primarily the two future sections Rouen/Barentin (fifteen kilometers) and Nanterre/Mantes-la-Jolie (forty kilometers), can also be consulted on the website www.lnpn.fr where you can submit comments, opinions and critiques on the different route scenarios, the construction of connection works to the existing network, or even discussing the future Rouen Saint-Sever Rive Gauche station, in Rouen.
Why the LNPN?
The LNPN aims to gradually provide the territories of the Seine valley with efficient rail links on the Paris – Mantes – Rouen, Le Havre – Paris – Mantes, Évreux – Caen – Cherbourg, Rouen – Évreux and Rouen – Caen axes. The project includes the successive construction of new line sections, firstly the Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) – Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines) and Rouen – Barentin (Seine-Maritime) sections including the future Rouen station.
