Like every year, celebrates » returns in May. For this 2024 edition, the organizers have planned numerous entertainment.

“The program brings residents together around events, activities and meetings to open up to the cultural diversity of the old continent, better understand its challenges and assets,” explains the city in a communicated.

A busy May 4

Saturday May 4 will mark the launch of this month of activities. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the Bonlieu forum, you can find association stands, which highlight the cultures of each country and European diversity.

Then, in Espace 60, several conferences will be held. The first, at 2 p.m., will be hosted by Gianluca Perfetto, volunteer of the European Solidarity Corps. At 3:30 p.m. there will be an interactive escape game. Finally at 5 p.m., the theme of will be discussed.

Other activities are planned throughout the month. There will notably be an exhibition on Europe and the Olympics or a conference on European citizenship.

80 cinema screenings

In parallel with this Europe month, we are also organizing a European film month in the town of Haute-Savoie.

On the program, nearly 80 screenings to discover or rediscover numerous films. For example, there will be the broadcast of the Oscar-winning documentary “20 days in Mariupol” on May 13, followed by a discussion with the associations “Annecy Ukraine” and Annecy Solidarité Ukraine.”

Jumbled together, it will be possible to see the teachers’ room (German film), How to have sex (English film) or the girl and the peasants (Polish film).
