Six months before the election, Donald Trump is agitated. After giving a long interview to the magazine Time in which he presents some shocking measures in view of the upcoming presidential election, the Republican reiterated in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel by refusing to explicitly commit to recognizing the result of his rematch against Joe Biden in the November presidential election.
“If everything is conducted honestly, I will happily accept the results”declared the former president, questioned about the presidential election in Wisconsin by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “MBut if this is not the case, then we will have to fight for the good of the country.”
These remarks echo the statements of the septuagenarian during the 2020 presidential election. Donald Trump never accepted his defeat against his Democratic opponent Joe Biden in this election. “To make it short: Donald Trump represents a danger for our Constitution and for democracy,” said a spokesperson for Biden’s campaign team, reacting to the billionaire’s interview.
During another exchange, published on Tuesday April 30, the tempestuous Republican had already been very evasive about the possibility of political violence in the wake of the November election. “If we don’t win, you know, it depends,” assured Donald Trump, whose supporters, convinced of his victory in the 2020 presidential election, had attacked the seat of the American Congress in unimaginable chaos. Donald Trump is being prosecuted for his role in this assaultand for attempting to reverse the results of the last presidential election, notably in the state of Georgia.
