According to Article L1110-5 of Public Health Code : “Everyone has the right to receive care aimed at relieve his pain.This must in all circumstances be prevented, evaluated, taken into account and treated.”
It is this problem which is raised by the world pain relief day . The Eu Hospital Center, in Seine-Maritime,is organizing an awareness day on Tuesday, October 15, in the EHPAD activity room.
“An essential subject”
This day is set up by the establishment’s Pain Control Committee (CLUD). THE doctor Marie Landrinpresident of this body, describes: “These are committees which are in place in each establishment”.
This involves coordinating the actions taken against pain by the different departments of hospital centers.
Pain is at the heart of the concerns of all caregivers, it is truly an essential subject.
New practices have come to answer this question. “In the past, the fight against pain involved only medication.” Today, there are other answers which will be presented on October 15.
For Pink October
Like every year, professionals from the Caux Maritime Territorial Group are mobilizing as part of the Pink October campaign and offering several prevention and awareness actions in the fight against breast cancer.
On Thursday, October 17, at the Eu Hospital Center, information and awareness stands will be run by professionals from Eu and Dieppe hospitals from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.: on women’s health, on mammography, with self-examination demonstrations and sales of goodies by the Association of Friends of the Allard and Isabelle Pavilions for the benefit of the Supportive Care Center of the Dieppe Hospital Center.
Different stands
This is the second year that the Eu hospital center has offered this action. It is aimed at both staff and visitors.
The organizers encourage the general public to dare to participate. “Come and meet the health professionals on the different stands,” assure the organizers.
Visitors and staff will be able to sign up for sophrology and touch massage workshops. Stands on pain assessment, pain and handling and the presentation of materials will be on the program as well as various activities.
Tuesday October 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the entertainment room of the EHPAD of the Eu Hospital Center. Free and open to all.
