A house burned to the ground this Monday, September 30, around 3 p.m., in Liverdun, on Chemin des Récompenses, a few ten meters from the gendarmerie.
The firefighters sent large resources. They managed to contain the fire after an hour but are currently continuing to fight against some flames which persist.

They were unable to do anything to save two occupants of the home, a 35-year-old man and another aged 90. Their lifeless bodies were found under the rubble of part of the collapsed roof.
A third occupant of the house, a 48-year-old woman, was able to get out in time. Discomforted by the smoke from the fire and in a state of shock, she was taken care of by the firefighters.
