By Stéphane Davy. KIARA DE LA FYE (716) will be at the start of France Bleu Mayenne Price, Thursday, in Laval (R-4). Here are his trainer’s impressions Franck Coppyn (photo):

“She’s a good filly. She was the victim of a collision at the beginning of March, at Vire. Since then, she has met my expectations. She won well at the end of March, at Vire, with Franck Nivard. When she is in front and unshod, she is formidable. She remained in excellent condition. I even think that she has reached a level lately, both physically and mentally. It has progressed in hardness. while doing the minimum in the race. Thursday is a return to the saddle. She performed there twice, last year, in the spring, in Caen and in Amiens. She has not worked in the discipline since but she is definitely a volunteer. It won’t bother her. The commitment is favorable. Given her potential, I wouldn’t be surprised to see her play the leading roles in this lot. She is not the quickest on the signal but if she is in the lead with one lap to go, we will have to take her seriously. She can hold her last 500-700 meters on the “foot” of 1’10”/1’11”. Note that I preferred this engagement to another, the next day, in Vincennes. Know that I prefer the right string. This is my main reservation. We will have to see how it behaves in the last turn, at Laval, even if it turns left correctly. Subsequently, it is not impossible that I regularly introduce her to the mounted trot because – in the immediate future – she could lack speed; in harness, to do well in Vincennes. She will progress faster under the saddle because she remains a victim of her pace. I think she will then have a good one scheduled this summer in Cabourg.”
