The Rhône, Loire, Ain, Drôme, Isère, Savoie and Haute-Savoie were placed on yellow alert this Thursday for rain-flooding by Météo France.
That spring still seems far away. Amid very gloomy weather and very humid weather for several days, Météo France has placed 7 departments in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region on yellow alert for rain-flooding.
In Lyon and the Rhône, rain is expected all day this Thursday, before a lull on Friday. Loire, Ain, Drôme, Isère, Savoie and Haute-Savoie are also affected by vigilance.
The depression, currently moving towards England, was very active in Burgundy on Wednesday. It will generate moderate rain this Thursday across the entire region.
Six departments on alert for floods
Also note that six AURA departments have been placed on yellow alert for flooding. These are Rhône, Puy-de-Dôme, Loire, Ardèche, Haute-Loire and Cantal. In Lyon, the level of the Saône is expected to rise until the evening this Thursday following heavy rain last weekend.
