The SNCF has just announced it on social networks and in the stations: train traffic is interrupted between Lourdes and Pau due to an accident. Indeed, around 12:30 p.m. this Tuesday, April 30, a train hit a car at a level crossing located on the D937 departmental road, near the town of Saint-Pé-de-Bigorre, west of Lourdes .
Accident leads to train interruption
Contacted by Le Journal Toulousain, the SNCF then explains that trains run normally between Toulouse and Tarbes. But rail traffic is completely stopped between Lourdes and Pau. For the moment, the company has no details regarding the circumstances of the accident. Emergency services are on site to provide assistance to the passengers of the damaged car and the passengers of the train. The time for traffic to resume is estimated around 2:30 p.m.
