Wage increases, public services, repeal of the pension reform law.Inter-union CGT, FSU, Solidarity from the country of Dinan (Côtes-d’Armor) and youth organizations join the national day of mobilization of Tuesday October 1, 2024by calling to strike and demonstrate “so that finally the social emergencies, expressed in the mobilizations as in the ballot boxes, are heard!”

It is on these subjects that are central to the population that we can win and snatch victories at a time when the President of the Republic and the alliance up to the extreme right are seeking to impose, against the general will, the maintenance of the liberal and authoritarian course.

At the heart of this day of mobilization, several demands, in addition to that of the repeal of the pension reform: “the increase of pensions and wages, a minimum wage of 2000 euros and the indexation of salaries on inflation”, financial means for public services “at the end of their rope” at the head of which the hospital, education, but also “the immediate cessation of all layoffs, the relocation and environmental transformation of our industry”, the future of young people among the first “to suffer these policies of social destruction”.

Parliamentary return day

The choice of a large-scale mobilization on Tuesday coincides with the resumption of parliamentary work which “marks the start of discussions on the State budget and Social Security in the National Assembly” and the holding of the general policy speech by the new Prime Minister Michel Barnier.

Tuesday, October 1st, in Dinan, the gathering will take place at 11:30 a.m., on the esplanade of the Resistance.

In Brittany, other gatherings have already been announced: at 11 a.m., in front of the prefecture of Saint-Brieuc but also in Fougères, Lorient, Vannes, Pontivy, Morlaix.
